Last week, the net lanes at the Dummer Cricket Centre were resurfaced for the first time in 15 years.
The process, which included removing the existing lanes before laying the material for our three net lanes, took just over two days to complete.

"It was very exciting to make this new investment after 15 years and we have already received such positive feedback from those who used it first, even if that only came from people who took wickets.
"Upgrading the facilities has given them a newer feel and with the addition of a shock absorber as well it has improved the evenness of bounce, offered more spin, and helped the medium pacers.
"The nets have gone from medium-fast to medium but this a natural consequence of them being newer."
The net lanes were almost immediately back in use with the first people to use them people commenting on how nice they were to play on.
Our newly resurfaced net lanes are available for bookings every weekday from 9 am to 10 pm and from 9 am to 8 pm on weekends. We also offer one-to-one coaching, cricket courses and host indoor cricket leagues during the week, welcoming thousands of cricketers throughout the years.
