Serious Sport Policies Modern Slavery Statement

Serious Sport was established in 2005 as a specialist sports clothing and teamwear company alongside the sub-brand Serious Cricket.

Our head office is based in Dummer, Basingstoke, England which includes production facilities, our cricket centre and retail shop.

Serious Sport acknowledge the global issue of modern slavery and human trafficking and is committed to combating it within its operations and supply chains. This agreement outlines the company's zero-tolerance approach towards modern slavery and sets out the responsibilities of both Serious Sport and its employees in preventing and addressing this issue.

Serious Sport is committed to:

  • Conducting business ethically and with integrity.
  • Complying with all relevant laws and regulations regarding modern slavery and human trafficking.
  • Ensuring transparency and accountability in its supply chains.
  • Collaborating with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to eradicate modern slavery from our supply chains.

Serious Sport expects its suppliers and contractors to:

  • Adopt policies and procedures to prevent and address modern slavery within their own operations and supply chains.
  • Provide transparency regarding the origin and working conditions of their products and labour.
  • Allow access to their facilities and records for auditing purposes to ensure compliance with this agreement.
  • Take corrective actions if any instances of modern slavery are identified and work towards continuous improvement in this regard.

Serious Sport will:

  • Regularly review and update its policies and procedures to reflect best practices in combating modern slavery.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of its supply chains to identify and address any risks of modern slavery.
  • Take appropriate actions against any employee, supplier, or contractor found to be involved in modern slavery or in violation of this agreement.

Any employee who becomes aware of or suspects a violation of this agreement should report it immediately to the Senior Management Team. Reports can be made anonymously, and Serious Sport guarantees protection from retaliation for those who report concerns in good faith.

This agreement will be reviewed on a regular basis and amended as necessary to ensure its effectiveness in preventing modern slavery and human trafficking.
